Tennyson Down (1.3 miles from Totland Bay)

Alfred Lord Tennyson often came here for inspiration, and taking in the views from Tennyson Monument (erected in his memory in 1897) you can see why. Tennyson Down has beautiful open downland with sheer chalk cliffs and dramatic sea views. A must see.
